Event Details
Presented by the UBC GIS Librarian and co-hosted by the ASIS&T and SLA@SLAIS student clubs this workshop is an introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and GIS Librarianship. The workshop will begin with an introduction to GIS and how it is being used at UBC before describing the functions of a GIS librarian (including refernece services, collection development, liaison and outreach roles, teaching and special services) and conclude with an overview of GIS resources.
This workshop is free and comes with coffee and donuts.
